Our Vision

All people live a meaningful life within a welcoming and inclusive community.

Our Mission

Community Living Association works alongside individuals with disabilities to achieve their own goals.

Our Values

We value...
People -  their unique capacities, gifts, talents and life experiences
Community - everyone should have the opportunity to contribute to their community
Choice - each person has the ability to impart meaning and direction to their own life
Relationships - genuine relationships are created through respect, integrity, communication and commitment
Innovation - in a constantly changing world, new support opportunities will arise and we will embrace them.

  • The LGSCLA (now CLA) formed in 1991. The Association came into existence at a time when disability service sought to move away from institutional settings.
  • In 1991 The LGSCLA operated with 3hrs/wk administration time, and was based at the Albany D.S.C. office.
  • In 1996 The LGSCLA had a budget of $100,000 and provided support to 40 people.
  • The Association has continued to grow and currently supports 65 people with an annual budget in excess of $5 million.
  • In spite of this rapid growth CLA has remained true to it’s core belief in every persons right to be an active member of their community.
  • 27/7/2010 LGSCLA changes name to CLA.
